Chaka Khan, “I’m Every Woman”

Happy International Women’s Day! To me, and probably 93% of women in English-speaking countries, nothing is more empowering than getting sh*t done to a disco song.

“I’m Every Woman” is a powerhouse jam, hyperbolic in lyric and high on confidence. It’s an anthem to the boss ladies out there and reminds us all that nothing is more empowering than empowering others who need it.

If you’re a Whitney Houston fan, here’s her version.
